  • Steve Switzer - Lead Pastor

My story begins on a small farm in a little town outside of Wichita, KS. I grew up in and around Wichita until leaving for Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO in the fall of 1982. It was there in Missouri that I finished my undergraduate studies, and I also met the love of my life, Michelle (Shelley), a midwest farm girl from Palmer, IL. In June of 1986, six months after we were married we set out together on this journey of ministry. The Lord has allowed us to discover many new and interesting places and meet many wonderful people in California, Texas and New York. Along the way, we have also been blessed with three wonderful children – Steffan, Stephen, and Micaela. After 11 years of pastoring in Long Island, New York, the Lord orchestrated the events of our lives to bring us here to Calvary. I often marvel at the amazing plan of God that has led us to the place that we are today, and I am looking forward to His continuing leadership.

  • Carlos Campos - Student Pastor

I was born in Antigua, Guatemala and later moved to Queens, New York with my mother in 1993. So I'm a New Yorker at heart, but definitely enjoying life here in Illinois. God impacted my life during my teen years, where He saved me, taught me, and called me. I surrendered to ministry before my junior year of high school. God used so many people to influence me during my teen years, and I want to have that same godly influence on others. The Lord has allowed me to find my better half, Steffan, and has allowed us to minister here at Calvary. We're involved with our Calvary Student Ministries, and we're loving every second of it. Our prayer is that God allows us to make a godly impact on the lives of the teens in Central Illinois.

  • Dollie Brown - Office Administrator

I grew up at Calvary and met God here and experienced His saving grace at the age of nine. I met my husband Kevin in youth group and we were married at Calvary. After spending 6 years away from the area, when Kevin was in the US Army, we returned and started serving in the kid’s ministry. God has lead me one step at a time from a volunteer capacity in many different ministries to being on staff. I am grateful that God has chosen to use me and grow me through the years. I know that He isn’t finished with me yet and look forward to whatever is next in His plan for my life.

  • Steffan Campos - Worship Leader

My story starts when I was 8 years old and prayed to receive Jesus as my personal Savior. I was not new to church as I grew up with both parents serving in ministry but the night I began my very own journey with Jesus. As time went on, I did not see how God could use me personally until about 3rd grade when I was encouraged by our kids choir director at our church in TX to sing in a kids play. I had so much fun and as the years went on, God showed me how I could use music to express my love for Him through song. While music is definitely a passion of mine, being a wife to my husband Carlos and being a mom to our beautiful daughters are my first passions. I am excited to take my next step in helping lead our current worship team and can't wait to see all God has in store for our church.

  • Garrett Scott - Worship Intern

I was born in Middletown, Ohio and then moved here to Illinois when I was in second grade. I had gone to church for a good part of my life, but I never knew Christ personally. It wasn't until I came here to Calvary that I accepted Christ. Since then I've been looking to God for the direction He wants to lead me. This past fall I really felt God speak to me and He changed the plans I had for myself. I have a great passion for music and have been playing guitar since I was about 10 years old. Playing on the worship team at Calvary and talking with God made the calling clear that He wanted me to surrender to full time ministry. Going forward, I will be attending Cedarville University in the fall to study Worship and I'm excited to see what God has in store for me.
